The New Leaf team has unparalleled depth and breadth of experience managing amenities - in every stage of the club life cycle. Bonita Bay Club and The Club at Mediterra, two award-winning, amenity-rich complexes, are examples of how New Leaf both anticipates and exceeds expectations of club members.
1986
Bonita Bay Club and The Marina Club are conceived and developed by the Bonita Bay Group in their award-winning community of Bonita Bay.
The Club's facilities and amenities comprise an onsite clubhouse and a second clubhouse at the fourth and fifth golf courses, 90 holes of championship golf, an 18-court tennis and swim center, and a fitness center. Other amenities include four waterfront recreational areas, parks, bicycle paths and nature trails.
The Marina Club offers members waterfront dining, social and educational activities, and wet and dry slips.
1988
Bonita Bay Club is named the best recreational facility in the Southeastern United States by the Southeast Builders Conference.
1990s
Onsite clubhouse is expanded to 45,000 square feet to accommodate a growing membership.
2003
Onsite clubhouse is completely renovated - inside and out - after research shows that club members want more space for casual dining, a fresher décor and better use of space. The roof is raised to heighten ceilings; lounge and dining areas are reconfigured for greater seating flexibility and enhanced golf course views; all interior finishes, fixtures and most furniture is replaced.
2006
Bonita Bay Club wins Club Management Design Award for best replacement of a clubhouse in the $4.4 million category.
Bonita Bay Club opens a new 10,000 square-foot fitness center - nearly twice the size of the previous facility - to accommodate larger fitness classes and improve facilities for sports medicine services. The center includes a spacious cardio-workout area overlooking the oversized pool and new poolside snack bar; locker rooms; aerobics room with a suspended, hardwood floor; three spa-treatment rooms and an area for sports rehabilitation.
2000
The Club at Mediterra, a 25,000 square-foot facility designed by Dick Dietrich, one of the world's leading clubhouse design firms, is designed to accommodate a future addition.
2002
The Club wins top honors in the Georgia chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers' Design Excellence program.
2006
The Club prepares for a major expansion that will add more than 10,000 square feet of dining and recreational areas and terraces in response to strong membership and home sales in the community. Expansion plans include larger and more sophisticated locker, lounge and card-playing areas for both sexes - a fireplace for the ladies' card room, plasma-screen TVs and a larger bar for the men's locker room; folding walls in the casual dining area that open up views of the golf course and nature; 1,700 square feet added to the al fresco dining terrace; and a new golf pro shop.
The Club's nearby Fitness & Enrichment Center is slated for an expansion that will nearly double its existing size of 7,852 square feet. New facilities will include three spa treatment rooms, a multipurpose room with catering kitchen, expanded locker room facilities and state-of-the-art exercise equipment.
