Executive Team
Joey Garon is President of New Leaf. He is responsible for the delivery of a wide range of management services for a select group of clients. Services provided include golf maintenance, golf operations, other sports and recreation operations, food and beverage operations, club membership, and association activities.
Garon has more than 20 years experience in the club and resort industry throughout the country. He joined the Bonita Bay Group in 2005 as vice president of operations where he was responsible for operations at the company's master-planned communities, establishing companywide standards of quality and assuring a high level of resident and member satisfaction. He launched New Leaf Management, Bonita Bay Group's amenities management division to leverage the company's excellent reputation for creating world-class clubs and lifestyles in 2007.
Previously, Garon served as vice president for KSL Recreation, which operates a number of high-quality golf courses, homeowners associations and destination resorts in the United States.
A graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration, Garon serves on the board of directors of the Florida Golf Course Owners Association and the Resort and Hospitality Board of Advisors of Florida Gulf Coast University.
Tim Walton is the vice president of business development for New Leaf. In this role, he is responsible for pursuing new business opportunities and managing customer satisfaction for New Leaf clients. With more than 18 years of experience in the golf industry, managing daily fee, high-end resort and private clubs, he has been recognized for his ability to take operations and club satisfaction to the next level.
Tim most recently served as managing partner and general manager of the historical Old Natchez Country Club in Franklin, Tennessee, and prior to that he was a senior executive with KSL Resorts where he was part of the acquisition team for La Costa Resort and Spa and also served as director of operations at La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, California and the director of golf for PGA West. Tim is a member of the board of directors of the Southeast Financial Credit Union and the YMCA of Middle Tennessee. He attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
Susan Watts is senior vice president of development operations for New Leaf. She oversees the company's Development Services Division, including club and homeowners association operations, sales and marketing, planning and development, and human resources.
Watts has a distinguished development background and is a regular speaker on real estate and lifestyle trends at national conferences. She originally joined the Bonita Bay Group in 1998 as vice president and served as general manager of Mediterra and TwinEagles, two award-winning clubs in Naples, Florida. She is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, American Planning Association and the Urban Land Institute.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in biological sciences from Goucher College and a Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Illinois.
Michael Seabrook has more than 20 years club management experience with an impressive track record in business management and member satisfaction. Michael has served as General Manager of several private golf clubs including The Club at Mediterra in Naples, Florida; Estancia Club in Scottsdale, Arizona; Medalist Golf Club in Hobe Sound, Florida and club manager of Burning Tree Club in Bethesda, Maryland.
Michael is a Certified Club Manager and Honor Society Member in the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA). He has served on numerous CMAA state and national committees and is a Member and Regional Council Member in the National Club Association. He is a graduate of James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in political science and a minor in French.
Robin Leete oversees the operation of all Homeowner Associations managed by New Leaf. She is responsible for the activities of association staff, oversees budgets, develops and records documents for new associations, hires association general managers and coordinates the turnover of associations from the developer to residents. In addition, she coordinates customer service initiatives and environmental processes.
She joined Bonita Bay Group in 1989 with experience in the insurance, retail, and food and beverage industries in Connecticut and Massachusetts. She worked for two years with the Bonita Bay Welcome and Information Center, introducing prospects to the lifestyle and home choices available at the developer's flagship community.
In 1992 she was named resident services administrator for the Bonita Bay Community Association. Her responsibilities increased, and she was promoted to community services manager.
In 2001 Robin became general manager of The Brooks Community Operations and coordinated the transition of the Shadow Wood Community Association in January 2006. She was then promoted to director of homeowner associations for New Leaf.
Robin is licensed as a Community Association Manager by the State of Florida.
Scott Whorrall is New Leaf's golf superintendent and agronomy expert. He recently served as Director of Golf Course Operations at The Club at Mediterra in Naples, Florida where he was the club's first superintendent of golf, appointed before the community opened for sales in January 2000. He worked with the Fazio Design team during the development of the club's two championship golf courses, the first-ever 36-hole course to earn Audubon International's Silver Signature Sanctuary status. Scott earned the highest award in the private club category of the 2002 Environmental Leaders in Golf Award from the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America and Golf Digest magazine. The annual award goes to the golf course superintendent of a property that represents the highest level of commitment to environmental stewardship.
Scott is a certified golf course superintendent by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America. Previous to his position at Mediterra, he served as Director of Golf course Operations at Kensington Golf and Country Club and Olde Florida Golf Club; both courses are located in Naples, Florida.
